Our humble (and fiendishly attractive) president spent many years in the trenches of videogame development, and has always felt that employees in the game industry don't get enough recognition or perks. More of his thoughts on this topic can be found in this blog post, but the bottom line is that if you work in the videogame industry you get 25% off any vehicle rental, any time.

This offer is on top of any other available discounts (such as the monthly specials or the multi-day price breaks). To qualify you need to work in the professional videogame arena; this includes anyone at a developer, publisher, or contractor, and the gaming press. Our definition here is pretty loose, but sorry, working in the game section of Best Buy isn't quite good enough.

To receive your discount, simply fill out the online reservation form to request the vehicle you're interested in. When a Rental Service Associate contacts you to complete the reservation, tell them that you qualify for the "Game Industry Special" discount. They may ask for some additional information about where you work; an email address or a business card you can fax to us is about all the "proof" they'll need.
